Prince Café at Mid Valley

FT and I decided to join CL on her lunch break at the Prince Café. The Prince Café is a contemporary-looking café that serves Hong Kong-style food. Their menu is quite large, with probably about 100 different menu items ranging from the main meals to drinks and desserts. It kind of reminded me of the famous Kim Gary restaurant chain for some reason.

For drinks, FT and I had Hong Kong-style iced milk tea. Each glass of the iced milk tea comes with a large chunk that is just almost as tall as your glass of frozen milk. This is really cool because this keeps the drink cold without diluting it by adding more ice. What an awesome idea! *two thumbs up*

As I am notorious for taking a long time to pick what I want to eat, I used my ‘magic finger’ to pick out something hopefully delicious from the menu with a zillion items on it. My finger pointed to Baked Rice, which consisted of rice, cheese on top, and a wine sauce in a Chinese steamer tray. Cute. I thought the Baked Rice was alright, and I’m so glad I didn’t choose the baked rice with the curry sauce option!

FT had the Chicken Chop. She seemed quite happy with it… or at least she did not say anything negative… and I didn’t see her screw up her face. I’ll take that as a vote for that it was good. ;)

CL had the Fried Rice, which looked pretty normal. I guess there aren’t really any surprises on how different fried rice can be.

FT was tempted by the desserts as usual, so she had the Pineapple Ice. It was probably only about RM$3 but it was massive that I ended up sharing it with her! I wish I hadn’t though, because I ended up sick later that afternoon, which meant that I missed out on meeting up with KL Food Blogger, Lyrical Lemongrass, and her friends that night. I think it was the cheese… or the baked rice and pineapple ice combo.

Despite the sickness, I would eat here again… but possibly more out of curiosity to find out whether I would get sick again…!!
